View Full Version : UED error (Got the patch, so whats wrong?)

I just bought UT GOTY today because it looked like a great game and a dream to map for (Which HL isnt). So, I had read of this error everyone got with using UED so I dl'ed the patch. Surprise surprise, it doesnt work at all.
I get this strange error:

Run-Time Error (453)
Can't find DLL entry point
EdlnitServer@8 in editor.dll

Please help

Which version of the Editor is with UTGOTY? Which patch did you download?

The editor is v2.0 and the game is the newest v. I downloaded the UnrealEDfix, thats the only one avaible

There are a couple of fixes for the UED. You could have downloaded the patch for UED 1.0.

Try just leaving the editor in its original version (UTGOTY) I did it too and had no problems.

Thats swell, because here comes another question
Where can I find 2.0 tutorials? (I know there is another post covering the same Q but he didnt seem to get an answer)
I looked all over the popular sites, unrealed etc. etc.
So please, 'cuz I would enjoy MOVING my block an inch or so or manipulate it in some way or another

Turns out he got the answer (or almost) but where can I find some tutors with ued2 pics?

There are a couple of sites out there, but not that complete as UnrealEd. Try learning the tuts in Unrealed. They are on UED 1.0 but they are the best. Then with some experimenting you can handle UED 2.0 as well. It's not that different. The toolbar from the left moved into icons in the upper toolbar. I'm sure you will be able to figure out which one is where. Also the builder icons are differently arranged but their icons remained the same.
