I thought that it would be really cool if you could have a spherical room where you could run up the sides and stand on the ceiling, but I have no clue how to go about it.
Is there anyone who can help?

that's possible (i think) but it would be pretty hard. You would have to break the sphere into four equal parts and make portals to them.
but then you wouldn't be able to shoot through them, unless there is a setting that allows you to do that (i don't think there is)
So if you don't mind not being able to shoot through to another section of the sphere then that would work fine, otherwise you'd probably have to get into some programming
I'm just assuming this though, so I may be wrong

That would be kinda difficult. And the performance would suck.
Check DM-DecyberEscherUT and DM-EscherlandII over at Nali City...

that level is pretty cool but it has the same problem that I just explained, you can't shoot through the invisible portals. Sometimes you shoot at somebody and the bullet seems to just disappear

The effect is cool but not for an action level.
In DM-DecyberEscherUT I get confused after about 2 minutes and it's very annoying that you can't blast away enemies running on the other side of the portal.
That's a problem.
No shootin' thru', choppy performance, lotta work with it....
That's it, you have the Ingredients for a portal themed level like this.

You'd need to use scripting for this to really work the way you want. A friend of mine is currently working on a related interesting thing; a CTF map where each base is on top of the other, upside down.

That sounds cool. I hope he will succeed. There are so few original ideas out there and this is one of them.

ummm, I'm not sure, but making everything a floor works...Or....wait....what denotes a floor?
wait.......make gravity equal on all the walls.....can you do that?Yeah, surface properties...

You don't have any influence over gravity in the Surface Properties. Gravity is set in the ZoneInfo as a Vector that specifies its direction and amplitude.

errr....maybe?

Maybe in your other editor....

The gravity is zone based.
One zone cannot have multi directional gravity. Only if you can change the direction via scripting.

You can align the textures of surfaces "to floor". I don't know if maybe that's what you meant, but this is the only floor reference I can see.

Check out this Tutorial (http://www.planetunreal.com/unrealed/tutorials/adv/portals_3/) over at Unrealed.exe. I think you'll find all the info you need to build your sphere.

And you could check Tim Sweeney's zoning reference at http://unreal.epicgames.com
