My UnrealED doesnt look right.

I am a newbie attempting to use Ued. I have the current patch for UT. The editor that pops up says it is version 2.0. However it doesnt look like any pictures I have seen in any tutorials. It has a tool bar across the top. The browse window shows up as a blank window. there is also a tool bar at the bottom that looks sort of incomplete(it looks like it has the word "command" but is is incomplete.

Does anyone have a clue what I am seeing. I can't use any tutorials because they refer to things I don't seem to have.(the texture browser)

...anyway, most UEd tutorials use screenshots from UEd, not UEd 2.0. Once it boots, close that useless Browsers box, and try to correlate the new toolbox icons with the old, then you'll be fine. The way to tell versions is the old UEd used a large plain grey U as an Icon in it's windows. UnrealEd 2.0 uses a cyan Unreal Tournament logo.

Most of the tuts are referring to UED 1.0.

I UED 2.0 the toolbar from the right-side turned into buttons on the upper tool bar. try clicking them and you will soon figure out what is what.

Hmm I think Ued2 is much more stable than Ued was. Ued crashed constantly, Ued2 has crashed maybe 5 times total. Maybe it has something to do with Hardware too.

Strange...UEd 1 had fewer crahses than UEd 2 for me...I don't know why.
