HELP, RUNAWAY PING RATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever I try to play multi over the net my ping rate rises pheonomonolly!!! I'll start at a 40 and a minute or so into the game I'm in the thousands!!! I've downloaded the new 402 patch and the same thing occurs. It's impossible to play like this!!! I'm running a PIII 500 with 13 gigs and 64mb of ram. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

AOL is not a good service for gameplay, assuming your ISP is what's on your email address. Check out some others, most have a free trial so you can test them before you cancel what you have.

This is true. I have mindspring, and my connects are much better for all my online gaming than on AOL. Too bad i dont have a T3 laying around somewhere.

Please e-mail epic and let them know there is a problem. If they can fix it, they will and if it is beyond their control they won't, but either way they will be aware of issues and they can look into them.
