Starting a server questions..

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I want to start a game and have my friend connect to my game. So I figure all I have to do is start an internet game and give him my ip adress is this right? Or is there something else you have to do to get it to work. Also when you start an internet game what does dedicated mean?

You go to "start new multiplayer game"--select the stuff u want: CTF or AS or whatever--and the maps u want--next ur friend goes to "open location"--enters IP--then he will connect to u. Dedicated means u cannot play on it. So, u will want to run a non-dedicated server-that way u and ur friend can play together.
