adding new sounds and textures!

how do i import(lack of a better word)music from unreal 1
into unreal tournament? also how do you download new textures into unreal tournament because i have an idea for
a map but i'm lacking the textures and this one site has what i want. i'm very new at this (downloading) so please be
patient.

you'll have to make your textures 256 x 256 pixels and 256 colours in *.pcx format then goto your texture browser, goto file; import and there you can select and import your texture... (don't forget to save em!!)

And 4 the music I know this: It music has to be in

*.mod (Fast Tracker)
*.s3m (Screamer Tracker)
*.stm or
*.it format and the importing works the the same as with the textures.....

You can simply copy the Unreal .umx files into UT's Music folder. That's it.

the unreal bulletin board on PU has good info about playing unreal using the UT engine. plays damn smooth, too. basically, you can just copy files from the unreal folder system into the corresponding folder in UT and they'll be available for the editor or maps that require them (like unreal maps). just dont overwrite anything in your UT folders...

definitely look at the tutorials available. there are lots of them. check out http://www.blitzen.demon.co.uk/mappersguide.html for the lowdown on some good tutorial sites and free texture sites, as well as other goodies for first-time mappers.

sorry for the late response, but how do you go about coping
files and putting them in the correct file? ex:unreal music
sent to unreal tounament. i pretty new on the "computer stuff" all i'm good at is installing (don't laugh)programs.
