I have played on public servers over the last week. I get accused of being a cheater several times a day. Last night someone claimed i had an aimbot (dm morpheus where i use the minigun a lot) and later me and my clanmate got accused of using some "speedcheat". Im a good aimer and have excellent ping from a T1. Those players who accused us for speedcheating got very confused from our dodging-- it looked like they didnt know how to dodge.

This is a bad experience. Im not the best player in the world, but im not bad...

Its no fun anymore having skills in this game. If this continues ill quit playing on public servers.

Any other players feel like this?

A slightly less drastic move would be to stop playing on public servers that don't have CSHP installed. You're less likely to get accused of cheating if other players can see that people with aimbots get kicked by the server.

OTOH, someone who can't tell the difference between dodging and cheating is obviously so ****ed in the head that logic doesn't really apply to their behaviour :)

I've been accused of cheating several times lately, although my aim really sux and I get most kills with rockets, flak and combos.

Tonight my clan played a very strange match. We won Coret; as everybody knows on Coret it's rockets, flak and combo, who rule the map; no hitscan weapons. As the second map we played Gauntlet ... and guess what ... we were 0wned. The opponent clan had an amazing aim with the minigun. Especially one of their defenders mowed down anything that entered their base in 1 second with the MG. Maybe he just had a good aim. But maybe .... It made us very suspicious, cos it was the opponent's server without CSHP and without ngStats enabled. Also none of them recorded a demo. Damn, just to be not 100% sure sux. In future my clan will refuse to play any clanmatches on servers without CSHP installed.

i'm EXACTLY where you are ior.. it's like it's a BAD thing to have accuracy skills now.. only prob is i love playing on swine cuz of the competition, so it has me in a jam...
but i think i heard that swine is getting CSHP put on it today, so that'll help clam ppl up

the only time I've ever said anything is when someone with a sniper rifle has been running me down and 'headshot' me on several different occasions while I've been strafing and dodging his shots.(6+ times cannot be coincidence)

and this is probably a newbie question, but what does CSHP stand for and how do you find out which servers are running CSHP?

You mean, don't normally get used?

There's Minigun and Sniper Rifle too.. I use Mini a LOT.

Sure there is a minigun on Coret and I use it quite a bit too. But it's by far not as effective as on some other maps. For example on Gauntlet or Command blue side I get at least 30% of my kills with it. On Coret it's around 5%.

And who ever bothers to pick up the sniper rifle on Coret? I think I've been killed with the sniper rifle on Coret not more than 10 times during 1 year of UT.

don't get your hopes up too high about that.. all the servers I go to now have CSHP2 installed, yet accusations of aimbots run rampant anyway..

Another problem might be, that sore losers and n00wbs have an all too powerful argument to get someone kickbanned...
if they wanna get rid of someone, they can just accuse him of cheating and gets banned...

This sucks bad, people could get banned cause other people don't like them...don't let UT become like Q2 :(

T1 rules. Good pings on most parts of the world, only obscure servers located in countries like the Philipines, Australia/NZ, Brazil, Ukraine have servers which ping over 400. :)
And if people really complain about your ping, just grab a mini and mow 'em down, and do this again, and again, and again... :D
