crashing and freezing

ued has started freezing and crashing when im working with lighting (ie putting lighting in, changing colours brightness etc). For no apparant reason it comes up with 'critical error, general protection fault' and then shuts down. I have got the 436 patch. Any ideas?

I have a pentium 2 mmx processor @300mhz and a tnt 2 model 64 graphics card

I was having similar problems with ued and I downloaded this fix and it worked... this may not help you at all, but you can try

How much RAM do you have?
How much HD space do you have free?

128mb ram and 21gb of free hd on that drive

if you want it that badly then maybe you should try reinstalling the entire CD.. just an idea
