don't know if this is completely old stuff, but has anyone seen this...I was playing a normal botmatch. picked up the 'belt, got fragged. Now, after this every time i got killed and the cam view switched to show my sorry body, the shieldbelt-skin was sprawled next to me, in the same position as my body but slightly displaced. actually it went through the death animation too, but offset from my player model. and i didn't pick the shieldbelt but that one time.
It was really hilarious, i took some shots of the thing but i don't have net access at the machine i was playing at the time.
