What are some key binds you can't live without?

I want to make a list of the top 10 key binds or alias that are an absolute must to have. I'm not talking about voice commands either. I'd like to know if, for example, you can't live with out a translocator bind or an impact hammer jump bind.

Let's have 'em.

So all of them. I have a total of 60+ keybindings. When I am on the "Battlefield" I find that I am using all of them. Such things as orders, communication of location, binds for need of health, armor, ammo. I use them all! Yes, I am a key binding freak, anyone in Ci will tell you that.

I have all the weapons bound to a key ... I couldn't live without that. Scrolling through a weapon list until I find the best one would take way too long and is too hard to do in the heat of battle.

The only 2 binds I really use are Select best weapon (MouseWheel Click) and x-loc (Delete).... I used to have tons of them but since I reinstalled I was too lazy to redo them..

As a mainly CTF player, I have all those 1337 CTF orders like "I'm taking the left route", "Incoming high", "FC taking the left route"....

I also use text scripts to use my Numkeys thrice :) for taunts and orders.

Can you elaborate on this script so you can use your keypad keys twice?? That sounds hella sweeet! :)

I copy/pasted this from a post by Azmo. That's where I learned it!

[copy-paste]
Let's say you want to use different binds for offence, defence, and freelance. Numpad1, 2, and 3 are used to define the set of binds to use next, Numpad4 to 9 are used for the different sets. You have to create a text file for each set of binds, and put these in your UT\System directory.

User.ini
Numpad1=exec defence.txt
Numpad2=exec freelance.txt
Numpad3=exec offence.txt
Numpad4=say Good shot!
Numpad5=say Missed me! :p
Numpad6=say ...
...
Numpad9=...

defence.txt
set input Numpad4 teamsay [- DEFENDING -] | onrelease exec reset.txt
set input Numpad5 speech 0 4 12 | onrelease exec reset.txt
set input Numpad6 speech -1 2 3 | onrelease exec reset.txt
...
set input Numpad9 ... | onrelease exec reset.txt

freelance.txt
set input Numpad4 teamsay [- FREELANCING -] | onrelease exec reset.txt
set input Numpad5 teamsay [- SUPPORTING OFFENCE -] | onrelease exec reset.txt
...
set input Numpad9 ... | onrelease exec reset.txt

offence.txt
set input Numpad4 teamsay [- ATTACKING -] | onrelease exec reset.txt
set input Numpad5 speech 5 5 5 | onrelease exec reset.txt
...
set input Numpad9 ... | onrelease exec reset.txt

reset.txt
set input Numpad4 say Good shot!
set input Numpad5 say Missed me! :p
set input Numpad6 say ...
...
set input Numpad9 ...

NOTES:
- "exec filename" interprets the lines in a text file as UT console comands and executes them.
- "set input key command(s)" changes the commands bound to a specific key.
- "| onrelease exec reset.txt" at the end of each keybind ensures all keys are reset to the custom bind. Otherwise you'd be stuck with the specific binds after pressing Numpad1, 2, or 3.
- the "speech X X X commands in this post may not be valid UT speech binds. Check Riskable's Page for the correct numbers to use.
- Patch 4.32 disabled the use of some "set..." commands. Let's hope and pray that "set input" still works.
[/copy-paste]

The reset thing didnt work for me though it worked for other 4.32 users, but it's still a great help. I just use Num1-3 for the 3 sets and switch between them with this 3 keys. Also works well :)

I have these same two, best weapon on my thumb button on my mouse, and x-loc on the pinky button. :) Seems like they are rather popular...
