Ladders - Best it can be w/o script

Spent a lot of time on ladders (too much), and if you use the 1x8x64 formula for ladders they work great. Yes they lean up aginst the wall, but if you use a texture like in "'crypt2' 3rd down, on the right" (rusty bars) and work the the scale, pan and also rotate the texture, you can make it look realy good. Rotating the texture on the sides makes it look more realistic leaning on the wall. Give it a try!

i like the script aproach personaly, as you can have people walking allover walls, like the matrix

True that it is, but... All of us have not the ability to write script, we don't. If someone wishes to do it and share, that would be swell.

Angle the staircase to the point where you could walk up it. Don't make it look too fake though /~unreal/ubb/html/wink.gif
