Kinda a newbie question, but oh well. When I make a sheet (for water, BTW) I make it bigger than what it covers up. I hit intersect. It does NOT intersect. IT does some really odd stuff. But, I guess my question is, how do I make the sheet fit exactly in what it's supposed to be in? Please help.

it goes kinda like this, you can't get it to fit perfectly, unless it's a square, just let it overlap, i don't get it but hey it works most of the time(others it gives me HOMs')

Don't try intersect/deintersect on sheets. It has weird side effects. Just let the sheet float into the solid. If it sticks out and that's a problem, you can use the 2D shape editor to make a sheet that will fit the hole better. The fit doesn't have to be exact. In a worst case scenario, you can fill the hole with a box, deintersect the box so that it perfectly plugs the hole, add the box as an invisible non-solid, and set the surface properties of one the the box's faces to be a zone portal. This last idea is only a last resort. It is probably a very bad idea, and will cause BSP holes.

I hear that the new Rune editor has a feature that you can choose a number of surfaces on a brush and make them all into one sheet. I wish they would fold that change back into the main UEd.
