I have made some levels before and my start points worked fine, but now, as soon as a player is spawed they die... I am assuming that I changed some settings that I shouldn't have, but I'm not sure. anyone know what to do?

Try rebuilding and if that doesnt work move the start points a little closer to the floor and rebuild again. That always works for me

I have tried moving the player starts lower... so I guess I'll rebuild

Make sure you save after rebuild or the change wont be commited and you wont notice a difference.

If that doesn't work, define the paths. that usually works.

Something you might want to check out is that you don't have a "double character" error. I had the similar problem in my map and found that for some reason UnrealEd added two "playerstarts"...one on top of each other everytime I added just one.
Right click your starts..and if it says you have 2 (or more) selected...just select "delete" until you have just one. This goes for weapons, lights and even navigation points....
This problem messed up my paths define too and slowed down my level considerably....

dont hate me if you think this is too obvious for words, but with one playerstart you'll need to playtest the map with 0 bots, or they'll all telefrag when the level opens.
