Mac-to-PC networking?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. I have a Mac, and I want to play a one-on-one Unreal Tournament match with a friend who has a PC. Can I just get an ethernet crossover cable and hook our machines together, or is there more to it than that?

I agree -- Macs do indeed rock. However, I know not everybody feels that way, and hence my problem. I won't have access to a router where I'm going -- I just want to do a one-on-one thing. Does anyone know if I can just plug in an Ethernet crossover cable, or is there more to it than that?
