I'm starting to get e-mails asking what happened to my free-texture site, Texture Universe, since it's been down a few days.

I'm really sorry about the outage guys, but it looks like my Web host is crashing big-time. The company, GX Hosting, was great for the first half of the year, and apparently they signed on too many clients and now they're having service problems. It's turning out to be something of a scandal in the Web hosting message boards and I'm pissed beyond belief. Many people are talking about legal action because the host has apparently turned on an autoresponder to handle help requests.
I'm going to cancel my account with GXHosting and move to a new web host in the next 3-5 days, as soon as I can transfer the domain. I might attempt to get PU hosting as well. Until then, the site will be running at the URL above, unless my host has even worse problems.
Thanks for your patience. Things should be back running soon. Be really careful what host you pick, even when they get great reviews and tons of hype. I normally wouldn't say bad things about a company like this, but GXHosting has really turned it's back on many clients and everyone is furious.
I'm particularly concerned since I have no idea how many users and people that link to me will bail when the links stay broken for a week. I'm making this transfer ASAP.
