I for one like instagib better than UT's normal weapons and play IG almost exclusively.

Instagib r0x0rs! When I play it, my dodging skills seem to go through the roof. So does my aiming and my reflexes! Infact, I go a little hyper and jump around the level liike a monkey on crack.
If your a sniper... its coo. If not, its not for you. Insta Gib strengthens certain skills, while reg UT does so to others. It is all a matter of what you want to be good at. My opinion... I like to hack the Pulse Gun to shoot redeemer missles as its primary fire ...

I love instagib. It's very intense. I can't play it very much, though because I really love all of the great UT weapons.
I like Igib on a LAN or in botmatch. It's no fun for me online as my pings are erratic, and I always have to deal with packet loss. It's down to spammy projectile-based weapons for me now.
I just love instagib, and my pings are erratic to. Cable really sucks But it is much better then paying for the hours you are online anyday.
Ultron I'm going to a course in Nov so I can handle aDSL orders.. Yohooo we have aDSL soon here in Norway (for normall consumers, firms have had this over several years tough)

But as guys are saying in previous posts here, it's not for everyone. If your ping sucks, or if it's not constant, you will be at a severe disadvantage.
Also, I have a lot of friends who enjoy playing with all the other weaps in UT. I personally can't be bothered having to chase after the RL or Flak before my teammates get it. I also like the fact that when I respawn, I'm on even ground with everyone else...hehe.
Instagib is very fast, and very tense. Accuracy and hand-eye coordination are extremely important. I'm still amazing by some of the shots that the better players make during matches.

FYI: Proving Grounds is considering starting a 1 vs 1 IG ladder. They need more people to sign up before they create the ladder though. If any of you gibbers would be interested in competing on a ladder, please go to http://www.provinggrounds.com and post on the UT IG forum.

I have a 56k, but it always seems that InstaGib servers have low pings for me. I also seem to get good dodging (no rockets lines!) and accuaracy. Good way too learn!
I love that constant firing noise you hear on Instagib servers!
One of the best moments I had on UT was bursting into a room with three people in on DM-Tempest. Three perfect shots later I had a Multi Kill and Killing Spree! Awesome!

Great, Dev! If I had a 100 ping or less I'd play Igib on it. But beyond that I start noticing direct hits become misses.

I know I've got a big mouth,but in this case,I can afford one.
