In any case I am new to the editing thing and was hoping to get aq little info on how to start such as good tutorials or anything else that may be of help. Thanks in advance for any info

This is a great link for a tutorial database. It has tutorials on every subject and also each subject has tutorials by several different authors so you will have plenty to choose from.
