i just reinstalled windows and i need to setup my computer to be able to install .umod files, with the new fie type thing, and it's been so long i can't remember how. could someone tell me or point me to somewhere that it is posted. thanks, cloudchaos

Change the file association manually using Windows Explorer. Click on View | Folder Options then select File Types tab. Scroll down the list until you find the Unreal Module file type, then click the Edit button. Select the "Install this Unreal module" action and if this action doesn't show in the list, then add it. Select this action and click on Edit, now change the path so that it points to the setup program in your Unreal tournament folder. The command line must look like this:
C:\unreal tournament\system\setup.exe install "%1"
Note that the
install "%1"
you must type in,with the quotes, the first part you find by browsing your drives.

If you install UT from the CD, it takes care of all that. If you didn't,(like copy the unreal tournament folder off someone elses computer)Then you will have to do it the other way. Also, make sure you have Winzip, or some other program that will open Zip files. Also, if you did copy it off someone elses computer, you will have to re select the Video drivers.
