UED2

Well after messing with UED2 for about a week, Ive found it real buggy and the new features not really anything
earth shattering, Ive decided to go back to the Stock Unrealed that comes on the UT disc.I Like it, but I dont
feel its worth all the crashes and stuff to continue running it (especially when importing anything, sounds, textures, etc seem to make it crash a lot, mainly sounds)
anyway anyone else think Ued2 is still buggy?

I rarely have any problems with Ued2. Then again all I have ever imported into it has been textures. I never have imported sounds or music.

I think that you should give the Ued in patch 430 a chance. I think it has some way cool features that are really worth any trouble you are having.

Also I would suggest reinstalling UT with the latest patch.

Dont get me Wrong, I love UED2, it just seems to crash on me an awful lot, I also cant seem to get it to rebuild properly,The build toolsi have are Rebuild geometry only, rebuild lighting only, and a options button that doesnt work.hmm anyone else having problems with it? or am I just being lazy? Maybe I should get my hands dirty and figure it out?

i don't know what happened for me, it used to crash a lot but since i reinstalled like 1 month ago it has like crashed only once and i have no problems

Ohsk,

Your rebuild options button brings up the rebuild menu similar to Ued1 and allows you to move the slider bars and such. It is also what you use to rebuild all (lighting geometry etc.) at once. If you can't get the menu up by clicking in the menu you can try using the F8 button. But if you are having that many problems i would recommend that you update to the lates patch and if that doesn't work then reinstall completely. I have had no serious problems w/ Ued2, although I have never had any need to import sounds.

Ok thx for all the comments guys, I will reinstall my UT and start from scratch and update to the latest patch,
maybe that will help, yeah i cant get that rebuild options button to work, I will try f8 if it doesnt work still after i reinstall, but youve all convinced me to try it again,
I guess its working well for most people.

After using UED2 for 1 month, I deleated it and install the buggy UnrealEd even it crashes a lot more often. the reason: I was unable to import Textures (It opens somthing like a sound box that doesn't work!) and also, I was unable to import or load previously saved brushes.
For now, I'm waiting for an UED2 fix to reinstall it.

You are aware that each patch UT has had since releasing Ued2 has had updates for Ued2 in it? If you didn't know that then perhaps it's time to get the latest patch and give it anther try :)

OK Smally, I'll try to reinstall the UED2 with it's latest patch. But I still have a little doubt... hehehe
