HELP!?!?!?!?!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I am having a BIG problem!!! When I start up Unreal Tournament, It goes as normal but then it displays a LARGE 'Q' (black & White) and then the UT game screen defaults to the 640x480 screen and will NOT go to full screen.

Any ideas??? Sure would be glad to get this fixed.

version 428 <--although I started in 400 and it did the same thing. This isnt a version thing that I am aware of.

Thanks again(in advance)

I don't know what the hell the Q is, but it sounds like you should start by uninstalling and then reinstalling your videocard drivers. Then from within UT, select preferences and then change your sreen size and it will tell you that it must restart and allow you to select the video card driver...make sure to only use one recognized by UT.

I don't know what that is too...but I would definitely check to see if that is a virus:(. I had the screen size do that to me once (no Q though) and I just manually resized the edges to fit inside my monitor (software mode). Seemed that if any of it was running off the edges of my monitor, it wouldn't go full screen. But, your case is quite different.
