View Full Version : Strange Music Problem in my new level!!

I'm getting an odd music problem in my latest map. I was testing out my bot paths in my newest CTF map,(thanks to everyone who helped me solve my CTF/Dom problem) when I brought up the command menu to send the bots to the other base, the UT main menu music is invoked. I don't have any music selected for this level. But once it starts up, it stays on for the duration of the game. Any ideas?

It's a UT bug.
Solution is to choose some cool music for your level, heh.
My current favourites are Nether, Phantom, and Enigma.

I wish they'd sprayed this engine down with Raid. Kills bugs DEAD!!! Heh.

Speaking of bugs, I wonder if anyone else has this problem? when you play CTF-November
for some reason the music gets static after awhile.. and it gets louder and louder.
then I guess when you move to a new zone it resets and does it again after a period of time.. that's the only map it does it on.

I had this problem with DOM-Chessboard, since I wanted no Unreal music but used a single AmbientSound for Bach. I solved this by placing a MusicEvent that would be triggered every half second, provoking silence. You'll notice this if youpull up the command menu in the level. The UT theme will play in half second bits, until you close the panel, then it goes back to silence.

I believe that sound problem in CTF-November is meant to be like that... ive heard it. Other than that, i havent heard any problems w/ music
