Another post from the newbie...
I can't seem to ever get spiral stairs to work. I have a shaft about 90' deep that I want to put a spiral staircast into. The stairs never seem to work and it's a bitch to light. Anyone know of a tutorial on this or is the function broken in the editor? I don't remember seeing spiral stairs anywhere (but I could be wrong). Thanks.

There are spiral stairs in CTF-2FortsinHell. I'm sure there are others in the regular EPIC UT maps, but i just recall one offhand.
The problem with spiral stairs is that they are rather too complex for humans to design well. You need a tool, which is why there is one in UnrealED. Pretty certain that i've used it too, and it works.
Not that that is really much help /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif.

There's a tool, staircase tool, that are spiral staircases. Just simply design them the way you want and link them together... that wasnt much help either

The Spiral Staircase tool works just don't go over kill with it that's all. You'll crash UED if you do.
Make sure you uncheck Align to Side otherwise it gets offscale.

Yeah Wanderer, that's happened to me plenty of times... but I'm not making stiars when it happens.
