no translocator

this had better have a complicated answer or i'll feel a bit of a fool.

im making a DM map and ive put in a few translocator spots for the bots. problem is, there's no translocator in the player inventory, just the pistol and the impact hammer to start. ive allowed a translocator in my DM setup in UT and its there in other DM maps, so why not in mine?

I would of said to make sure that you had the "translocator" box checked off, but since you have, all I can think of is to launch a regular map and see if the trans is missing there too. If so, it could be that your config file got corrupted (as mine once did) and you need to re-install the latest patch again, or if worse the game......but try the patch first.

I had the same thing once..Couldn't get my translocator, but after testing & testing & testing... I had it!
Strange, but true..
