Ok, question #1 Is it possible to break a suface of a brush in to 2 pieces can apply 2 textures to it without adding or making another brush? for example if you had a wall that was one brush and you wanted one texture on the top part of it but wanted to add a different trim texture on the bottom of the wall without making another brush?

And question #2 Is there a way to find the name or dir. path of a texture in the surface properties (or elsewhere). For example if you saw a texture in another map and liked it and wanted to use it in you map. I know about the alt(right-click) thing to copy+paste it. But is there a way to fink out the exact name of it and even better the texture set that it came from?

A1 - no - you need to add a sheet or sub/add a brush.

A2 - If you alt-right click, then select another surface and right-click that, it will say "apply <name> to surface" or something in the popup menu.
