I've done a preview on my latest map that I'm working on. It's on my site. I was wondering if I can get some people to take a look at the screen shots and tell me what you think. Im starting to run out of ideas to throw into the lower section of the room.

It's only one room now, but you get the idea. Criticism welcome as are suggestions and praise. :D

The map is called DM-RazorBack and it is in the preview section of the site.

Thanks.

It looks sorta like a sewer, are those round things jump pads? add some movers in there like some machinery that is interactive, add some new colors. mabye have nasty water flowwing out of those pipes, thats all I can think of for now

if you ever run out of ideas you can use one of mine I started a map with ( but you know my mapping abilities) I'm not that good at making maps yet though, I'm making a ctf, were one side its a city and the flag is in a building and on the other sideits a forest with a wagon and the flag is in a cave, It's going to be called future v.s. past. I have moving cars and everything, but it's bad, it's just bad, It" such A good Idea I would like to see a better map builder to put it to use could you please, I'll stop my project.

I don't think it's an upgrade problem...I'm using Explorer 5 and Netscape 4.7, but maybe a server burp or bad cache or something. :P

As for the map, I found it...I used logic to get to it and assumed the page was called "previews." :)

Looks good...but it's a bit hard to tell from what you've sent. The texturing ;) is well-done...you definitely get a sense of place. The architecture is interesting and I think beams always add a sense of reality to a square-ish room.

My only suggestion is that a DM level heavily relies on "flow." I think DM is like dancing...you need to be able to move quickly and rhythmically, with a measure of space or continuity to do your thing. So I think the real test of your level will be to see how all the rooms or passages interconnect to make that happen. That's the genius of many Q3A maps, is that they have great "flow" for DM...many passages and rooms gently curve back into one another and they're roomy enough for battles where they need to be.

So....I'm saying that physically it looks good, but that I'm also looking forward to seeing how you set up all the other rooms and passages before making any thorough critique....

Good luck and good job so far...
