I would think that you would have to set some interpolation points and attach the car to the path. Not sure how, they did it in the UT_CityIntro right? Look there.

You need to add an attach mover, set up its keyframes, set the attach tag of the car to the tag of the attach mover.

WARNING!!! The car will only be able to move once. Otherwise, it will have to move backwards to get back to the starting point.

I did this with a space shuttle once. It was very clumbsy. It's basically the same as setting up a basic elevator. I know that you can set more than one keyframe but it's tricky and I never really did get around to experimenting with multiple keyframes..... but it can be done.
A mate of mine was able to do it with a kiddy swing... he had it rocking backwards and forwards with at least 5 keyframes so I know it can be done.

But you must define from the back. This means in the "wrong" order.

Be sure go into the mover's properties. There is a slider called "NumberOfKeyframes". It goes to 255, but you must set to a number between 2 and 8.

Movers can also move along pathmodes (if you have Unreal 1, look at the level "NaliBoat).
On http://www.unrealized.com you can somewhere find a tutorial how to do it. With this method a mover can have up to 33 "keyframes"!
