What a great game

Me, Redbeard and shadowclaw logged onto a game of Hydro yesterday.

The score was tied at 1-1 after regulation. The game, in total, was 60 minutes long with the overtime. There were two people spec'ing in the hopes of getting in, but no one was leaving this game.

Even teams (obviously) and some real close/exciting moments with some talented players.

The game ended with a double stand-off as both teams had the enema flags in their own base. I got lucky and wandered right into their capper with a buncha rockets loaded and got the flag back. We scored and won 2-1.

I love this game.

I played my 1v1 DM at PG for the #1 spot.

15 minute games...

Wimbet 7-6 Rooster (Tempest)
Wimbet 21-20 Rooster (Morbias)

Both of us were up by 2 at certain points on Tempest.

I had a 2/1 point lead through most of Morbias whereupon I lost my concentration (and we had a vocal spectator disrupting earlier in the game - he didnt know it was a ladder match).

Incredibly close games.

They don't come much closer than that one Roo. Looks like either of you would win on a good day.

I think I'll have to start trying some 1v1 to bring up my fragging skills. I'm such a ctf-ho. Whenever I spawn on a DM map the first thing I do is hit my x-loc button and feel stupid when it doesn't come up.

Please post the demo's. I'd be very interested in seeing them.

OMG! Rooster, those games must have been incredible.

Please post the demos. Everyone keeps telling me that I am getting better, but I have still never won a single 1on1 match ever against anyone! And I have played almost everyone! I guess I am unundefeated.

I need to figure out what the heck I am doing wrong in 1on1. I think those demos might be a good place to start. ;)
