I hope someone could help me with this one.
When I start Ued the following error msg. appears...

Can't find 'ini:Engine.Engine.EditorEngine' in configuration file

History: UObjectf::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- InitEngine

... The editor will load, but all 4 screens will be black, and on the right side (browser) nothing will work.

One more thing, when I want to play UT after this, it (UT) starts with the option box for safe mode and others, as if UT crashed.

Also, I have installed the new Uedfix4

All help welcome /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif /~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif

No reason to install the UnrealEdFix4 for UT's Unrealed. I'm not sure what'll happen if you do.

Now depending on from where you installed UED try installing the other version. IE: You installed the copy that was on the harddrive. Instead install the one that's on the 2nd CD. Or vice versa.

Remember to have VbRun6 installed and to add "-nodsound" (minus quotes) to the command line.

VbRun6 can be found at Download.com

I will try Vbrun6 and see what happens. But I thought this was because of something else.

If you've got an S3 Virge chip you'll have to jack your color up to 24bit because the Virge doesn't actually support 16bit color. Instead it supports 15bit (which is like 32k colors instead of 65k) which has been reported to cause problems.

hi thirddeep, i have found a fix to the problem that you had. i don't know if you already know this but i'll post it anyway.
to fix it what you have to do is delete the file called unreal.ini in the UT/system dir. and unreal should work now simple as that.

i will posy this in the GT UT forum as well
