I am nearing the end of the creation of my latest map, or should I say, one of my latest. Anyway, the map is called VPS-Epsilon. It is a CTF map that I made completely in UnrealED2 (Just for those of you who are convinced that UED2 doesn't work). Check it out and give me some feed back. I want to make the map the best it can be so don't hesitate to be nitpicky. You can find the map as well as some beta screenshots at: http://members.home.com/naborssm

Ok, I'm done whit it.

1. Outdoor areas are very good looking, and caverns are nice. You have also really nice touch whit size. Area is not too big, and not too small.

2. I recommend few more camping points.

3. Well, maps name is Volcano (or something like that) so I think a few more lava lakes should be more than nice, so the level really would have that HOT feeling. But not so much that we saw in LavaGiant. Now this level reminds me of Yodas home (SWAMP, BIG SWAMP).

4. I don't know what other players think, but I think old looking textures would fit on those bases better. Now it has a strange feeling (first reeeeeally old looking swamps, and then hi-tech indoor areas). Well, you must ask other players about that.

I haven't played this map with bots/online yet, but it looks really good:

1. I really like the hiding spot for the invisibility. The Nali priest apparition is a nice touch.

2. Could you add a few more baby cows, and make them respawn? :D It took kinda long to kill all the birds, too. ;)

3. Blue base - Water Reservoir: Jump down the platform (where the flak cannon is located), and you end up in some large dark cave. There's no way out of it except a double translocation, and there's no light. Looks to me like this area hasn't been finished yet.

4. Red base has a shield belt, blue base has a big keg o' health. The red base also has the advantage of defending downwards (attackers coming into the base from ground level have to fight their way up). I'm not sure, but doesn't this give the red team an advantage? (The water in front of the blue base might compensate this, though.) Maybe you should switch the keg and belt, or give the blue team easy access to a belt, and the red team easy access to a keg (could be placed in the camping areas above each flag).

5. The central passageway (with the damage amplifier) is kinda small.

6. I have no problem with the organic look of the "outside" vs. the high tech/space look of the bases. It makes the map feel like the two teams have both just established a base on some planet and are now fighting for it.

BTW how did you get that screen shot of all the flak cannon balls? Is that the excessive mod in action?

Use the "playersonly" console command, IT freezes time. You can't change weapons or gather anything so make sure you have what you want first. Type it in again to return to normal gameplay
