Multiple User Profile

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I want to be able to use different characters, so like my brother and I can have different characters set up and differet user names for ngstats... i hope i'm making sense.

hmm.. this might not be the most elegant way to do this, but

1.) install ut
2.) copy system\unrealtournament.ini system\unrealtournament.exe and system\user.ini into another directory, perhaps c:\BroUT or something like that
3.) open BroUT\unrealtournament.ini and go to the core.system section and there should be Path= lines, change the following:
CachePath=../Cache -> CachePath=Cache
Paths=../System/*.u -> Paths=c:/unrealtournament/system/*.u
Paths=../Maps/*.unr -> Paths=c:/unrealtournament/maps/*.unr
Paths=../Textures/*.utx -> Paths=c:/unrealtournament/textures/*.utx
Paths=../Sounds/*.uax -> Paths=c:/unrealtournament/sounds/*.uax
Paths=../Music/*.umx -> Paths=c:/unrealtournament/music/*.umx
4.) create a shortcut to c:\brout\unrealtournament.exe, that'll be your brothers config files for UT
5.) create a folder under BroUT called Cache
6.) if your brother downloads maps or anything of that nature, he'll have to install them under c:\unrealtournament\ instead of c:\brout

though it should work I haven't tested it out myself so I'm not sure..

the easy way

well, instead of doing all that :) there is a program that will manage multiple profiles for UT. I can't remember what it's called exactly, but i'm pretty sure it's on PU somewhere... i'll check it out.
