How do I edit a *.uax* file so that it is seen as a "package" and how do I give it a "package" name?

You seem to have two questions in one so here goes.....to edit a .uax file, I usuallly load up the sfx in the brouser on the right with the sfx I'm interested in. To get one sfx by itself, away from the rest of the package, click on it and press "export" and place it on the "Desktop"....now you can open it as a .wav file........
Now if you want to create a new package with this sfx do this. Load up the sfx brouser on the right and press "import". Select the sfx on the "Desktop" and press "ok". It is now going to give you the package info box...
Name: (anything as long as it is unique...also no spaces works best)
Group: (All) <use brackets
Package: (again anything, just unique and no spaces)
Say "ok" and load up the sfx. Select it then use it in your level. Just be SURE that you press "SAVE" on the sfx brouser...this will save it a new .uax file with your new package name.
Caution: Always be sure to include this .uax file when posting your map online, otherwise it WILL NOT load. Trust me, I know first hand. Second, Be sure that this new sfx is used exclusively...make sure that all referances to this sfx, points to your new package.
If you want a KICK ASS warez for making your own custom sfx, go to my site at
