Hello folks,
We are encountering an error with Unreal's Editor when we try to build a simple level. Everything in the Editor seems to work fine (subtraction brushes, lights, etc) but if the map gets to be a certain size and complexity (several 1024X1024 rooms with hallways and lights) Unreal Editor freezes and fails to complete the build. If the room is small enough, the Editor has no problem.
We have several computer labs running Unreal 3, but only one classroom seems to have this problem. It's somewhat alarming because the problem machines are new this year and are quite powerful in specs:
HP xw6600 Workstation
Windows XP 32 bit
2X Intel Xeon E5450's @ 3.00GHz (8 cores)
8 Gigs DDR2 667 Registered DIMM's (4X 2gig sticks) (will be 64X eventually)
NVIDIA Quadro FX 1700 512 MB video memory
Any idea what's going on?
