Kaspersky breaks unreal engine 3

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Kaspersky 2011 stops unreal 3 engine games from working - even if the antivurus is disabled.

I'm astounded that this software incompatibility, known about for around 2 months isn't fixed and isn't more widely reckognised.

It causes an APCRASH ntdll.dll error.

Reverting to Kaspersky 2010 fixes it. (Done this myself and proven to fix it)

I'm not impressed that the kaspersky fora have locked the threads and refered everybody to customer support.

I stopped using Kaspersky about 3-4 years ago. They used to be cool, but these days I lump them into the same category as McAfee and Norton.:( I hope your problem gets fixed though.

Hi Hunter, not come across you online since UT2004!

because there is probably a work around that customer services can walk you through?

Yes there is a workaround - a complete product uninstillation and installing last year's version!!

"Dear Sir,

Our HQ are currently investigating this matter in the meantime you can revert to the 2010 version which should be compatible.

To download Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 please go to the link below:"

That's why I use Eset32, the only AV I know that doesn't interfer with game playing.

Of course I can tell people horror stories about McAfee, but that's for another topic...
