Why does the LED in my mouse go from bright to dim?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Not here any more
If I turn the mouse over (to look at the LED).
Then run my finger over the LED.
It gets bright for a second, then goes dim.
Why?

And can I change the color?
I would like it to be Green.

Actually, green has a shorter wavelength than red. Shorter wavelength means more energy, so you might want to try bumping up the USB voltage.

The colour of a LED is material dependant. You cannot change it. To get green loght you would have to replace the LED with a green one. Or move the mouse towards you at close to the speed of light. ;)
