Why wont my alias work online?

Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.
The alias is called "xloc"
command = "OnRelease AltFire"
The keybind is this
getweapon translocator | xloc | OnRelease switchtobestweapon
I hold the key (Gives me translocator)
I fire primary, then release the key, it is supposed to translocate me, then switch to best weapon.
It seems to work fine offline, but the alias will not execute when I'm online.
Any ideas?

All I can say is it looks like a cool key combo.... 
I do know that some combos will not work. I'm not sure why you are getting it to work offline and not online.

Try different variations of the bind. I was setting an IH jump which also worked great when testing out on single player, but didn't when online.
Try different variations, like:
alias= getweapon translocator | onrealease altfire, alias = xloc
bind = xloc | switchtobestweapon
I found that trying different combinations in the alias vs. the binding might help.

Problem here is... you never tell it to fire.
I have one that works.. but it doesn't change weapons.. I never want to change weapons from a xloc that fast (I can do it myself faster).
As well, if you hold down the left before releasing the right button (to activate the beacon) - you will automagically change to your best weapon.

You're probably better off just making a mouse button "switchtobestweapon". That way..

much simpler on the hands than holding down two buttons at once (like the autobestweapon after xloc'ing).

I had many cases, where an alias worked perfect offline, but was not reliable online. Some commands out of the sequence randomly got lost. I guess this has to do with the same timing problems as mentioned above in combination with the lag and packetloss of online gaming.

Man.... I SO want to put in an alias to make xlocating faster and easier, but every time I try reading up on it (posts like this), my freaking head starts swimming... I wish thier iwas an easier way to do crap like this (grumble grumble)...

There is... get better.
I can xloc faster than the game allows. You can too.
Lemme rephrase that... I could click the buttons faster than the game will allow me to xlocate.

This is true... there is no substitute (in this case) for good old fashioned practice!
