View Full Version : UE3 - UT3 Kismet/Matinee Efficiency Question

Hi everyone,

Will it make a difference if a matinee sequence starts at the beginning of the game using a level startup even though the player cannot see the matinee sequence happening because its taking place in another room. Or should the sequence start via a trigger when the player reaches closer to the room with the matinee sequence.

Would using a trigger make the game more efficient in terms of cpu memory processing or something or would it make no difference.

The question sounds complicated I know!

Any help would be appreciated.

No doubt, doing something is more work than not doing it. If the matinee sequence is just for visual effects, I guess you could start/stop it via Touch Status of a TriggerVolume large enough to enclose the area from which the sequence animations are visible.
