View Full Version : Modifying UTGame to Our Own Game

I am newbie in UDK, I already learn all the tutorial, but I cannot find any tutorial how to modify the UTGame to our own game.
I have change all the "default" to my own game name, and I just can fly around the area.
I want to know how to get rid of the gun and the crosshair, so it will be just walking without any gun or crosshair.

Currently it is retardedly difficult to break your game installation away from the default UTGame package in UDK. For that reason, you'll find that every game made on UDK so far is also using the UTGame package.

If you want to get rid of the folder named UTGame, and ini files named UTSomething then no, that you can't do. You don't really need to either. Unless your players will go look at the folders in explorer they will never know.
Removing the hud, crosshair and all kinds of other UT thing such as the menu is quite easy and requires Unrealscript. I believe the whizzle design document may cover it. http://download.beyondunreal.com/fileworks.php/official/udk/Whizzle_Creation_Document_1_2.pdf

How about change the weapon to another model?like in "The Ball".
