UE2 - UT2kX terrain

i am currently in the middle of building a VCTF map with two bases at either end of the terrain. the terrain is much lower than the bases so i could use two points of entry. one for land vehicles that will use a larger lift and a open vent for a raptor to use the problem is that because the bases are quite high my terrain has to be high so people cant see out but it gets a really bad affect on the map are there any ways to help overcome this??

You really need to show a screenshot of what you mean.

If the problem is that you are stretching the terrain textures too much because the slope of the terrain is too great then it is likely that you are using terrain when you should be using static meshes for cliffs and the like.
