The US vid contains more factual questions while the UK one revolves around more logical ones (France/Koffi Anan vs Overtaking 2nd).
And while both of course have at least a thousand cut out correct answers, I'm still not amused that they could actually find people this.. Thick.

The people who made the video are also a little bit idiotic. They spelled 'Tony Blair' wrong (and colour wrong) and there are a few english car manufacturers such as Noble, Morgan and Ariel (contrary to them saying there are no real english car manufacturers anymore, also I think Rolls Royce may be german now). And most of the questions were posed to Scots, Geordies and Irishmen (and also kids who are inherently stupid anyway), of course a scot or an irishman doesn't know how many colours are in the Union Jack they friggin' hate the brits.
I'm not actually arguing against the video, but if I was going to make one of its type I could probably find you some genuinely idiotic people saying things that could get you locked away for plain ignorance.

lollercoaster... yeah because your average democrat is so smart because they can watch TV and believe everything Keith Olbermann and Barack Obama say.
It takes a really smart person to believe propaganda.

This video is sort of funny, but you could go to any country in the world, regardless of how advanced, and find idiots. America isn't alone on this front.

Hey everyone, if you ask enough people simple questions and have basic editing software, you will be able to paint an entire country as stupid. Look at how clever that is!
I love watching these videos, as they're amusing, but I get sick and tired of the smug self-righteousness and patently false implications that an entire nation (or group of people) are stupid because of a highly edited video. Oh well.

word.
You could go anywhere in the world and ask questions like this and get similar responses. I question the character of the people who created the video and the people who post it on forums more than I do the people in the video.

That was my point.
If the title of the flick was OMG DUMB PEOPLE or something like that, then that's one thing. My point of posting the second vid was that the exact same thing could be done in any country, to any race, or any group.

some americans may be living in their own little world and as a result may not pass this quiz. that said though i wonder how many people they cut out of this who got these questions right? these types of videos are stupid because even some construction worker missing a country that starts with 'u' may be studying stress points and things related to his job and really doesn't care.
that does not make the person stupid but uninformed. oh as an American off the top of my head. Ukraine, Uzbekistan (spelling?), United States and the United Kingdom. seriously off the top of my head. checking to see how many i missed.
Uganda and Uruguay (never heard of it. lol) I watched The Last King of Scotland last nite and forgot Uganda wtf Brian.
Forgetting Uganda was stupid, heh but lets face it stupidity is hardly copyrighted by the US.

hahaha, shut up jk :). i'm independent but have voted republican everytime. the "common republicans" i know are pretty smart. on each side lets remember that our differences on issues are not a measure of intelligence but how we see the world.
to be fair i have heard people regurgitate exactly what was just posted on michael moore's site and when going into depth they are just repeating talking points. republicans do it as well. let's try and be objective here. but if republicans ae so stupid then its amazing we took the whitehouse last two elections. :D

You're a republican. You can call yourself independent all day, but if you vote republican, you're a republican.
Evidence: "We" took the whitehouse.
I'd also like to point out it wasn't given.

hahaha. yes i say "we" because i relate with republicans better at this point. theres a huge difference though. i listen to both sides while your average republican listens to the other side just to citicize.
i would vote for Liberman over McCain. republicans vote their ticket no matter what, i don't. i consider both parties when elections come up. with all due respect you are wrong and would have to know me better to believe me i guess. yeah i do sound like a hardcore republican but i really am not.
why would i care to argue the point if i were a republican. i would just openly admit that. just because i plan to vote republican doesn't mean if Obama gets elected and does a great job i'd likely vote for him for a second term. when democrats and this is just my opinion get better with national defense issues i'll associate "we" with them. :) thats just my opinion. really i go with whoever i think is going to stregthen our military. defense comes first for me above all other issues. hence whoever is more convincing to me on that will get my vote.
i look at voting records and listen. so i'm searching for the ticket that i agree with most. i think thats the definition of an independent. but whatever, i don't blame you for thinking that.

But in all seriousness if Mccain gets voted in, I'm leaving the country, because I don't want to contribute to a society, that doesn't care about women's rights, doesn't care about foreign policy, doesn't care about eduction, doesn't care about biotechnology advances, doesn't care about equality, doesn't care about a disappearing middle class and most important to me: doesn't care about environmental issues.

OH FFS, even if this is highly edited, it's not like they interviewed 10 million people and these are the 2o or so people they found to be stupid, this probably represnets 10% of the people they interviewed, there probably isn't another "advanced" country in the world where you'll find 10% of the population to be so ignorant about their own county's history and even the most basic knowledge of the globe, i mean the woman never even heard about the UK, that's just pathetic. It's also quite disturbing when i hear someone say "we'll make a big blast crater out of the middle east!" in what is supposed to be the world's leading nation. I'm not saying that US citizens are all jackasses i'm just saying that the people's priority have been reversed, and they are so obsessed with themselves that they don't even car enough to try to undestand what's happening in the world. People generally are like a herd of sheeps, they simply believe what they are told and don't think for themselves out of fear and sheer lazyness (don't just take my word for it i'm just restating what Kant wrote). That's a problem that shouldn't be ignored.

right... "Rice is the first black woman, second African American (after her predecessor Colin Powell, who served from 2001 to 2005), and the second woman (after Madeleine Albright, who served from 1997 to 2001 in the Clinton Administration) to serve as Secretary of State. Rice was President Bush's National Security Advisor during his first term." wikpedia
"Palin is the second woman to run for vice president on a major-party ticket and the first Republican woman to do so." wikipedia
???????? so you're leaving based on a completely uninformed position? also see the videos of women voting in Iraq with purple thumbs? the last time that happened was.... hmm? clearly republicans stomp all over women's rights.

Did you not watch the video of the idiotic British citizens? The one that was obviously shot for super cheap by amateurs? I'm sure you can find plenty of videos of Parisians acting silly and morons of Florence.
Let's enjoy the hilarity of stupid people, okay, but it's nobs like you that make me sigh when I see these kinds of videos--knowing that the worst kind of idiot is the one that sees this and think it's something of a representative sample (I'm talking about you) of an entire country/race/religion/creed.

Well, the video was funny, and I've always felt that America's are stupid, but that doesn't mean America's the only country with stupid people. I don't care what country it is, or whether it starts with a 'u' or an 'i' or a 'z' or any other letter, there are stupid people in the world. The unfortunate fact is everybody has to deal with it. And not everybody is going to know the answers to all of those questions. I'm in high school constantly studying these kinds of facts and I didn't know half of them, and some of the rest I only had vague guesses.

lol, ok calm down Alec Baldwin. This one black girl that was a coworker of mine, pre-2000, said that George Bush was going to send all black people back to Africa. I guess that didn't happen. Too bad nobody notices when you help increase the medical treatment of Africans with AIDS from 50000 to 2 million. That darn George Bush, he's so evil.
All the things you mentioned are laughably untrue. It's late and I don't have the time to debunk all the propaganda your mind is probably saturated with. Goodnight Obama sycophants.
