GoW WIP SP_Industrial

Been a while since I have done any GoW level design since MP_Pipeline. Working on a single player map was a good exercise to practice and learn kismet.

Install:
Extract the .war file to C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAMEHERE\My Documents\My Games\Gears of War for Windows\WarGame\Published\CookedPC\Maps\CustomMaps

To Play The Level:
When in game bring up the console (~) and type Open SP_Industrial

Known Bugs:
Did my best to have Dom follow the player. Most times he will follow to the end other times he likes to camp at certain cover nodes and never leaves no matter how far ahead the player is... sorry about that. Used all sorts of tricks like move to scripts, teleports, still Dom can be stubborn... but hopefully this does not deter you from playing the map.

i havent tried custom content on gow yet so how would i go about booting this up

I played this level and it looks really good ( at least the part I have seen since I couldn't get further then pressing the button and opening the door, bad guys kept blowing me up with grenades) , the only area I didn't really is the start - it doesn't make much sense - how the heck such a big helicopter could land in a such small area? Perhaps the pilots are really leet but I doubt it :p

I tried this today, and enjoyed it. Very nice looking map, with lots of detail. I'm not sure I'll ever make it through it though, the difficulty is a bit high. Takes too much to kill the enemies, and as mentioned, the grenades tend to get me.

Unfortunately, with these campaign type custom maps, you start at the beginning when killed which frustrates easily.

I'll be going back to it (I really do like it, don't get me wrong) but I had to quit when Dom got stuck on the wrong side of a big metal door that closed behind me. I could see his "shadow" through the steel. That was the end of Dom, right at a part where I needed him. I got killed again soon after that, and gave it up. It had taken me several tries to get that far :)

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes the level is a bit hard but play it with patience and take cover it can be done! Not sure if you guys noticed but there is a torque bow at the first switch. That comes in handy for taking out the theron guards that are on the defensive across the gate which opened. :)

Again apologies on the Dom traversal bug still have no idea why sometimes after opening the first gate he sometimes does not follow... :(

When I do my next SP map I'll make sure to avoid that bug.
