Myself, I always bring a Zboard Fang with me to LANs. It just doesn't take as much space as a regular keyboard, has all the keys I'll ever need, is often more ergonomic, and as such I have more space for my gargantuan mousepad.

assuming this happened a while ago now... run it under the hot tap, give it a right seeing too, wear rubber gloves if you have to. then rinse it with cold. then shake the thing to get most of the remaining water out of it & finally sling it in your airing cupboard for a day or two & there's a good chance it'll be good as new.
