No Arnuld or really anyone from the first two flicks, for better or worse. It could be good, but there's nothing to get excited about yet.

While true, anything Christian Bale is automatically on my list of things to see.

Argh, I got Christian Bale and Christian Slater confused. This is much better.

The good - Christian Bale does make a good grown up John Connor
The bad - its going to be rated PG-13, so unless its a hardcore PG-13 I might have doubts.

Christian Bale seal of approval.
If they actually get to the heart of the Cyberdine war this time I'll be happy.
T3 was totally unnecessary, they were supposed to have gotten to the war then, everyone was ready for it. But what did we get? Arnold, the kid and some bitch running around again in "current" times and through the desert being chased by the more powerful model. Been there, done that.
Salvation will replace T3 in my eyes if it finally makes it to the war.

Yeah, but will it deliver. It's only a teaser trailer, really short. You hardly see anything. I'm a bit skeptical. Doesn't really hurt.
But hey, it's indeed the moment many have been waiting for.

Well it has christian bale in it, so it puts it on my radar. Pretty much any movie i've seen him in so far has been good/awesome.

The way I figure it, and I know I'm not alone, is that the series never needed to continue after 2. I wouldn't say T3 is a bad movie, at all, and as an action flick it was entertaining on a certain level. I just didn't need another Terminator movie, and neither did the series.

Normally I don't make judgments off a teaser trailer (after all, teasers are very short and reveal little about the actual movie)
... But if da' Christan Bale is going to be John Connor, the movie is definitely going to be on my watch list.
DISCLAIMER: JUDGMENT MAY CHANGE AFTER SEEING THE THEATRICAL TRAILER.

Terminator 1 was perfect, Terminator 2 was good, Terminator 3 was dire. Maybe it will come full circle with Bale? I just hope it's set in the future.

Rumor is that Josh Brolin is going to be the new Terminator.
This pic actually gives an idea of what he might look like in the role.

Is Arnold involved at all? I can see why he might not casted, but if he has nothing to do with the movie at all then I don't think it's a good sign...

Indeed.
The worst part is that all that time-traveling and the paradoxes it might have going to cause is giving me headaches.
It can't end with them winning the war, because the war never happened once Arnie succeeded in his mission in T2.
T3's story was more like a sad excuse to remake T2 with a female terminator and a love-story like T1 had. That's not to say that it wasn't entertaining, but the ending definitely made sure T4 could be made and that is something the series didn't deserve.
That's not to say that a movie about the actual war can't be any good though given the talent available. I'm afraid it will make the war look like a small-scale engagement instead of the near defeat of the human race that T1/T2 made it sound like.

Meh, I wish that it ended with T3. It should be up to the viewer what the outcome of the war will be.

You know, despite its problems, I really liked T3. T2 was great and all, but I like that T3 destroyed the nice happy ending that T2 had-we saved the human race yay! If done right, T4 will be about the almost defeat (and better not end with a victory) of the human race and I think that's awesome. We'll see though.
