Hello Everyone,
I started, today, working on a Warfare map (named above).
The idea was to make a completely objective based Warfare map using Kismet. Yes. The entire map is going to be all objective based (Assault Style).
I am making this post as sort of a way to log what and how I am doing stuff so if any other people feel inspired to make other objective based maps, without having to make a new gametype, they can.
For now I don't have any pictures to show (like I said I only just started building the actual map). I, however, have most of the Kismet sequences done in a gray map or planned out. This is undoubtedly a lot of work as I have to do every objective in Kismet and the effects of each objective as well. I am just hoping it turns out great.
The back story is to have one team essentially escape from lock-down and the other team defend. I am only working during my free time so it may take a while before I even have an alpha ready. I am also not listing what the objectives would be until I have them in game (there should be about 5 or 6 total - with two being simultaneous).
I will be working with mostly stock assets (as the main focus of the map would be to have the Kismet sequences done). I just wanted to get that out of the way
Well, that is it for now. I am excited to see how far I can push the envelop with this one; and I do hope it is as fun as it sounds to me.
I may have some WIP screens later today or tomorrow.
Yes, there would be a PS3 version.
J.
