This map has been created for the 3DBuzz Old School Unreal Contest in June 2008.
Therefore this map doesn't contain any custom content.

It's a frantic Duel map with lots of Z-Axis and lift jumping.
In this map I tried adding all the Armors plus an UDamage. The map is pretty small,
but the items are plentiful and balanced.

It works best in Duel, but can hold also some pretty tight 2on2 TDM matches.

Thanks to the 3DBuzz, Beyond Unreal, Excalibur Holland, Epic Forums,
Exiles Of UEd, NGI and Unreal PlayGround communities for beta testing and
help during map development.

Edited the first post with new Filefront links, the previous zips has a mess of folders that my zip program didn't show since they were void. If you are planning to upload this map somewhere please get the new zip files. The map isn't changed, so no online mismatch.

Why this map didn't go in the top ten of the OldSchool contest is beyond my imagination.

Why this map didn't go in the top ten of the OldSchool contest is beyond my imagination.

According to the review of one of the 3DBuzz staff, it's too small and the layout is too simple.
This abandoned water treatment facility has been bought by Liandri to host some frantic Duel matches.

First thing I noticed about this map. Itís VERY LOUD compared to standard DM fare. It makes it rather difficult to hear whatís going on, the constant gargley water noise is a little annoying.

It looks pretty good. The framerate is steady, Plays fairly well. The layout is a little lackluster unfortunately. Itís a pretty basic layout that allows someone to grab all the goods in one fell swoop. Depending on the amount of people, the fighting can get extremely intense. The final verdict amongst us, Is that this DM map was a little small. It would be perfect for a 1-on-1. But as soon as you start cranking up the number of bots, it gets EXTREMELY hectic.

Overall, itís a fun map, he did a great job on it. Just needs to expand on the size some more, I could literally camp from the center upper level, and cover the entire map.

Also maybe work on the Audio. The water babbling noise was pretty deafening.

On the plus side, there wasn't any Averil's in this level.

According to me, it wasn't good looking enough

I guess that I did a bad choice trying to create a hardcore map, probably a huge ass camping map would have been received better. Sure thing is that if I will partecipate again to one of these contests I will care only about the visuals of the map, in the end it's only that what matters.
(note that I'm not saying that all the maps in the top ten plays horribly, Xenon is very good)

I think on the whole you did a kicka$$ job XYZ!
Considering the time frame, only ppl that had a head start (aka MSUC entrants) got a leg up on the big or uber detailed maps.
However, you may notice, even some of them have no preview screenshot :D

Consider it good practice, and now start on your uber map for phase II of the MSUC! when another buzz contest is announced you can polish it off :)

I didn't agree with the top ten at all, can't really take them seriously. I didn't even notice the water noises...

The map is perfect for 1on1, ****load of fun.
