DM-Calibrah Release

Hi,

DM-Calibrah for Unreal Tournament 3 has been released. It's a medium sized map for 2 to 4 players.

"The Calibrah-Research-Facility was used by the secretive Phayder corporation for researching and testing the Invulnerability technology, but in the early testing phases, the huge amount of nanoblack caused curious weather anomalies..."

Just kidding, it's actually a pretty good slaughterfest. The bots seem pretty active... I don't have to look for them (I play Instagib with 9 bots mostly)

Very good work, sklare. Terrific visual representation and excellent touch with the invulnerability. Although you used stock assets it look really quite fresh and different to the retail UT3 levels.

If I was to find a point of critique in this level it would probably be that it can be a bit hard to know/navigate the map with a large area looking a bit similar. A unique colour lightsource or setpiece in some of building could maybe have contributed to a slightly better navigable level.

Overall a piece of excellence though, keep up the magnificent mappage.

Thanks for registering here. I saw this over 3D Buzz and I almost fell off my chair.
I really rarely download now, but that's what I'll do with this one.

PS: Would be cool if you replaced the Invulnerability pickup by a Udamage.
PS2: I wouldn't bother with uploading over FilePlanet, you won't get any downloads from there.

This map is DANG impressive. Really great work, sklare. I hope you win one of the DM slots, personally. The atmosphere in the level is awesome, the flow is great, the feel is amazing and the coolness factor is just out of this world. I am HIGHLY impressed.

This map does look reasonably dark, but I haven't found it to be any sort of problem when playing :)

Sure; this map is a bit dark but the gameplay is top notch and it looks the goods.

Thanks for creating some great UT3 content.

With the release of custom content like this, the old school contest and the MSU contest this game is really becoming worth playing.
