server info: non dedicated,my own dsl server.based in europe (germany).server will be online all
this weekend.pm me if you wanna admin pw for summoning fun.
can someone do me a favour and check if redirect is working properly?

mine is just monsterhunt.
yeah fine...lets play a bit mh tomorrow mate.i will try to learn more about server hosting and admin things step by step.

my current problem is about having a dedicated server...so i dont need to be online all the time.but i can not figure out how to join my own dedicated server lol.hahaha.:D

yeah sure..we could summon insta rifles of course.;)


EDIT: meh...thats all bull****.i cannot connect to any server now.wth?

:) Non-dedicated servers are called Listen servers as you can see people in action. A good thing, you can ban in real time etc. :)
Nice, more servers. Don't have MH though.

how to configure a non dedicated server...so that the server doesnt quit,
when i wanna join another server and comeback again,or even quit ut?
i mean isnt there an option to join and leave my server without that the server shuts down?

a dedicated server is nice but useless when i cant join myself.

Non-Dedicated = You are in single player, but everyone else is in dedicated.

Dedicated = Everyone is in dedicated.

Single = You are in single, everyone else is in another server.


Playing non dedicated is like playing single player except people can connect to you, but on their side they get effects of a dedicated server they dont see what you see, or have 0 ping since you are not playing on internet but playing on pc.

would create a working server for us all.with the gametypes we want:
monsterhunt,ut-onslaught,coop,idm and so on.

with neo's help i figured out how to join my dedicated server.(typing 127.0.0.1)
the problem: there is no hud and crosshair !
and another friend said he had a .de file mismatch.
i post my UT.ini below.
pls help out.ty.

i was thinking about that issue everyday, that its ashame we dont have a server, i mean cmon.. we have the most famous UT community, talking about UT every day... but we dont have server :p
so i thought.. this has to be changed.

a mate of mine already hires a 16slot server.
iam bussy configuring my old pc for it.
keep you updated ;)

huh, thats your localhost, which means 127.0.01 is the ipadress of you Networkcard in youre pc.
but i dont seem to get what that has to do with a dedicated server :S

If you have the second or something BP installed, then you'll get DE mismatches. Just delete that package and join any server and then put the new DE back on.
