View Full Version : UE2 - UT2kX Show way to bases in CTF

Hi again,
in UT2004 you can press M and N and this activates a little team-colored pixie that flies to the bases of the teams so you can follow it should you get lost. I always assumed these things just follow the bot-pathing network, but I have a path net in my map and the pixies still don't show themselves to me.

What do I have to do to get them to work?

Yeah, they just follow the path network. Make sure your flags are connected to each other through it. Do bots work in your map?

Yep, they do.
There is a floating AssaultPath above a floating teleporter that makes them run back to it over and over again, but only after they already have the flag (ReturnOnly=True). I don't know how to fix that yet.
The ways towards the flags work fine though and I assumed that was all that is needed for the function.

In test-matches the bots steal the flags and everything but the pixie-buttons don't produce pixies.

It works now. I don't know exactly what fixed it because I changed nothing about the pathes. It was too frustrating so I build some other random stuff, but now it works. Should I ever found out what caused the problem I'll edit it in here, but I seriously doubt it.
