View Full Version : [Gold]Anyone know a good place to sell gold (not WoW Gold, but the real stuff)

With the dollar being worth less than the toilet paper in my bathroom, I am thinking about cashing in the gold coins I own. I have about 2 ounces of the stuff and based on what I read that's about $2000.00.

I have seen a bunch of BS scams about sending your gold in and they give you cash, but I am sure they screw you. Does anyone know of a place that gives a fair price?

how about a bank?
ofcourse I dont know what they charge over there but expect a fee for validating the coins, etc.

I would have to look into that. I just started thinking about it and really had no idea what's the best way about going to do it.

Since you have gold coins and not pure gold why don't you try selling them to a collector ? I'm sure there's a few enthusiast sites out there.

I forget what they are exactly, but back in the 80's they were worth about $5.00 when I got them and I think they are about $100.00 a coin now.

I'd suggest you avoid those places, too. We had a traveling one advertise in our local paper recently and man, it was sad what they did to those people.

Of course, its sad that we allow that sort of drek to advertise, but money is money, and we've got bills to pay. As long as it's legal, I guess :P
