Hey guys.
I'm having this problem where whenever I record sound from games, such as Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (yes I know 90% of you hate the game, that's NOT THE POINT) or Unreal Tournament 3, I get crappy audio in the final cut. It sounds like the audio was being recorded from AM radio, 11-22khz frequency, as opposed to 44.1 khz, which is what I selected!
I don't have that problem when I record, say, from a streaming song on the internet using Audacity.
I've tried recording audio from games using:
1. FRAPS
2. dBpowerAMP Music Converter - Auxiliary Input
3. Audacity
No, the programs do not conflict. I did not have any conflicting issues with those programs before.
I have RealTek AC'97 Audio on-board.
I tried reducing DX accleration to (emulated) mode.
I tried setting my speaker settings to STEREO (2 channel) mode both through WinXP Control Panel and through the RealTek Audio Manager.
I didn't have this problem with Rainbow Six Vegas 1 (still don't have the problem with Vegas1), but Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War all have this recording sound problem too. Now Vegas2. What give?
