Info:

What the map is about, is endurance versus waves of enemies (Invasion-like).
Each time the train passes by, a turret is lifted off the floor, available for you to use for 15 seconds, then you're forced to exit it and the animation is reversed.

I'll give it a spin. Look forward to your tutorials, I too have gotten a grasp of Kismet but the more information out there the better!

Still?

Anyway, looks nice, too bad it isn't for UT3.

Looks good so far, but the entire map seems to be .. unlit. :/ It's the same brightness everywhere. Add more bright / dark - contrast, even if it's a nice cold and icy atmosphere right now.

I've still got it on my hdd, more because i don't want to let go though xD

Anyways i do sorta agree with Pandemonium about the lighting, some variation would be nice. Not that I suppose it matters but i can't really see any real reason why a train would be going there, perhaps some sort of raison d'etre in the theme could be nice. Liking what I see though

Yeah I noticed most of my work use too much plain lightning. I'll try to give the whole thing some variations this week. Beta & the Tutorial is coming along too..

i have! i only recently started playing it online. or rather 'started praying for servers' :( the game's so much fun online but something about the online part sucks and somehow i tend to believe it's Games for Windows...

anyway, screenshots look kinda nice. lighting's been mentioned before so i won't do it again ;)
looking forward to testing it.

Looks much better, I like the gritty feel you have created.

I had the idea to create a sort of mini guide telling what waves is there and where the locust spawn, plus some extras.

w00t! Nice I like the write up makes any level designer's work look more professional

will play it tonight before I go into my usual evening UT 3 level design crunch mode for CBP 3.

EDIT: Just gave it a spin. Not too shabby, the script you got setup for the turret is cool.

Overall it was fun, but some of the AI encounters were hard to find perhaps too many crates not enough visibility. Though the reason most AI were hard to find is that they never left the spawn point. I attached pic which shows a wretch among other AI as well that get stuck at this spot and other spawn/blocking volume spots.

and yes I was about to get raped by a wretch while taking that screen...
